
JOCEPS is the official scholarly journal of Chi Eta Phi
Sorority, Inc. It is peer-reviewed and is published annually, usually the
Fall/Winter of each year for members and subscribers. The purpose of JOCEPS
is to share scientific and evidence-based information about health
and nursing issues with members of the sorority, the nursing
community, and other health care professionals. The publication accepts
original research and review articles in addition to commentaries and health
policy analyses.
The publication’s major focus is on minority health and health disparities with an emphasis on practice, education, research and policy and advocacy. The journal also focuses on health promotion and prevention and health care.
The journal accepts advertisements from educational institutions, corporations, and health care agencies.
The journal accepts unsolicited manuscripts for the exclusive use by JOCEPS. These manuscripts are subject to review. Manuscripts may be submitted throughout the year to chieditor@aol.com or barbhatcher@att.net. In general, manuscripts should not exceed 3500 words in main text, 4 tables/figures, and a structured abstract of 180 words. Exception are made for critical analyses and selected reviews.
